Myself and Carl are proud parents to 2 beautiful girls. Eva, 3 and Josie, nearly 2. Josie happens to have Down's Syndrome. She is a beautiful, happy, loving little girl (just like her big sister), who has taught us since the day she was born to love and enjoy life just that little bit more.
We found out that Josie had her extra chromosome shortly after she was born. It was a really daunting time, we didn't know anything about Down Syndrome and we didn't know who to talk to, but there was a poster for Bolton Smiley Faces Downs Syndrome Support Group on the post natal ward. We took down the details and following Josie's open heart surgery at just 14 weeks old, we got in touch with Bolton Smiley Faces to attend the group and have never looked back since.
The group has been invaluable to our family in giving advice, support, information, friendship, a place to meet and most importantly for us, the tools to help us communicate better with Josie.
We would really like to help this group to continue their work and to help new families in the area.
10% of the proceeds will also be sent to The Down's Syndrome Association.

As a family, we will be taking part in the Walk on 12th March for World Down's Syndrome day. (World Down's Syndrome day is celebrated on 21st March every year. Please wear your odd socks on this day to show your support)
