RESOLUTION IT, Guernsey’s specialist technology provider, is embarking on an amazing 10 Challenges project to raise money locally for charity and to support outstanding causes.

And it has set the bar high with an ambitious £10,000 fund-raising target as it celebrates its first decade in business locally and wants to help celebrate what makes Guernsey great.

In all, 15 charities and good causes will benefit directly from Resolution IT’s Challenges project – and its customers, suppliers and the whole community can join in the fun, too.

Some of the wacky events include a Bush Tucker Trial-style event, which promises to be particularly unsavoury.

‘Given our line of work, there’s sure to be some unusual bugs in there,’ quipped Resolution MD Olly Duquemin.

One of the first challenges will be an eye-watering leg waxing for one of the company’s mainly male engineers – and you can nominate your ‘victim’ with a donation to choose whose legs get the treatment!

There is a serious side though. ‘We wanted to celebrate our 10th anniversary in business here,’ said Mr Duquemin, ‘and because the staff came up with so many wonderfully deserving causes to support, we felt we had to help them all.’

That’s where the Challenge idea was born, and these include a marathon with a twist, Bright Tights, a ThisIsEPIC event and a Gaming Marathon.

That will be held at the Digital Greenhouse – where else? – and features a VR display, adult and junior tournament events on consoles and PCs plus bring your own rig.
