We are a martial arts club based in Ormskirk, Lancashire and we are looking to raise funds to provide a defibrillator in the case of an emergency. We have noticed that in the news there have been many more cases of people (many young people) suffering from heart failure whilst taking part in sport.

Early defibrillation is the single most important factor in determining survival from cardiac arrest. Each minute it is delayed decreases the chances of the person surviving by 7-10%.

We teach adults and children at our club with a large proportion of them being young people. All of our instructors and some parents are all first aid and defibrillator trained. Having this life saving piece of equipment available would be an incredible asset to the club.
