A massive thank you to everybody who helped us to reach our original target. As a family, we are really grateful to you. I've decided to raise the target and keep this fundraiser up it because although it was initially established with Celyn in mind, it of course equally applies to any child, and their families, who needs care on Angharad Ward and so it extends well beyond us

Those who know us know Celyn's story, or most of it, by now. The loving and dedicated care that he has received from the brilliant doctors, nurses & health care assistants on this ward has saved his life more than once and as a family, we are incredibly indebted to them. We appreciate them so much and would like to give something back

Cels has had essential support in the PICU in Cardiff, open heart surgery in Alder Hey at Liverpool and had his life saved twice in Ysbyty Bronglais, once by the crash team and latterly when they so quickly diagnosed and responded to his meningococcal meningitis. These bigger hospitals benefit a lot from fundraising but often times, your child won't reach these places without critical and crucial local intervention

Of course we remain optimistic that Cels won't be seeing them for a while, if ever, but other babies and children will do and if we can help to make things a little bit nicer for them in some way, then it's a job well done

We would be lost without this ward and we owe them so much!

As for this money - I don't know how it will be spent - they on the ward can tell us what they need and we trust their judgement because they have never failed us yet.
