A group of us from the Lancashire District of the Methodist Church are travelling to Kailahun in Sierra Leone to support and work in a Skills Centre, teaching basic literacy and numeracy along with simple woodworking skills. We will be there for two weeks from 28th January 2017 and will join the local church in their services and Bible Study Groups.
This is a follow up visit and is the first large group visit from Lancashire District since the Ebola crisis. People in Sierra Leone need our help in a practical way, but also need to know that we are thinking of them, praying for them and supporting them in the name of Jesus.
There is another group of medical people (midwives, nurses, doctors) going to work as trainers in a local hospital.
