Story
Ecuador is a country that has suffered poverty and unemployment as a result of loss of its natural habitat and traditional way of life. I'll be living in a community in Ecuador for two weeks, with a team of other young people, helping to maybe refurbish a school, improve public buildings, help make and sell local handicrafts, teaching some English to young children or help make the environment more sustainable. I want to try to help a community that isn't as well off as we are. I'm traveling with a group from Poynton High School.

I've set myself a challenge over the next 17 weeks - to start 2017 by walking to the top of 17 peaks. It will help me get fit for my trip, and hopefully get some great views. Some, like Kinder Scout, are close to home, but I'll go to the Lake District and Snowdonia as well.
