Myself and my brother, James, have been chosen to participate in the World Outdoor Tug of War Championships in Switzerland at the beginning of September. We will be part of the under 23 years old team representing Scotland. This is a huge honour and we are very much looking forward to it.

We first got involved with Tug of War through the Beith and District Young Farmers’ Club. We then progressed to training with and pulling for the Ayrshire Tug of War team. We train twice a week and have now competed in several national competitions, we are now delighted to have been selected for the Scotland team.

There are several members of the Ayrshire Tug of War Club participating in the under 23 team, In order to participate we each need to raise in the region of £1,000. This is a significant amount of money and we would be extremely grateful if you would consider making a contribution to the Ayrshire Tug of War Club.
