Story
I heard that Laura and James Maclellan will be competing in all four Wolf Runs in 2017 to help raise funds for their youngest son Ethan to assist with medical care and equipment costs.
Whilst I am unable to compete in the Wolf Runs I wanted to use my London Marathon 2017 place to help someone on a more personal level, as such I wanted to help raise any money I could to assist with Ethan’s ongoing care and general well being.
Ethan was born with no complications, but there were early problems with feeding and reflux and at four months old given he was not progressing as one might expect, Ethan was sent for an MRI scan which showed he had an underdeveloped brain. Ethan’s feeding continued to go downhill, which lead to the use of gastric tubes and operations.
Ethan has made good progress to date and continues to develop with support from regular physiotherapy, dieticians, speech and language professionals and he receives regular support and medical care from Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Zoes Place and Acorn Hospice in Worcester.
As every child needs, Ethan will continue to need love, support and care throughout his life and to help with this any money raised will go to the family to help provide this.
Please help Ethan continue to brighten up lives with his infectious smile and giggle.

7 years agoLongest run of the year done today at Ashby 20. Great race well organised and lots of support. 3 hours 30 mins wasn't too bad either if I'm being honest. A WhatsApp video message from William saying "Run Daddy" whilst I was flagging was a lovely surprise.
