Story
My friend Bill has been stuck down by the most terrible illness over the past 18 months. Bill has a very young family who are going through this trauma with him, it seems at every turn there has been more challenges. Despite this, his family have struggle on following the loss of his job and faced with reduced income.
His employers were unable to sustain his position due to illness, but given Bill’s attitude and standing within the business, his colleagues rallied around finishing off a long term project on his own front garden, with a team building day.
Despite his illness he is still thinking of others and he recently raised over a £1,100 for Cancer Research!
This week he has had the devastating news that the cancer has spread into his bones and this has absolutely shattered all his family and friends.
As a good friend of Bill’s I feel helpless and have decided to set up this funding page to help him and his family. If Bill and his family can concentrate on themselves, try and enjoy some quality time without having the financial constraints, it is one less thing for them to worry about.
It would be nice to pull together with Bill’s wider circle of friends to help out him and his family.

5 years agoAs we sadly lost a great husband, daddy, family member & friend a week ago this page closes on the 6/11.Bill was personally touched, encouraged by the response to this page, not just by your generosity, but by your words, messages of support. It showed, not just him but Barbara & the family, how people thought about Bill, how much love they had for Bill & his family. On a personal note I have been overwhelmed by the messages of help that I have received from our local community, we live in a beautiful place with lots of kind people. Thanks ❤️

It is a very sad, especially given the young family left behind, my heart goes out to them all❤️ Hopefully the positive comments, messages of support, donations showed Bill and Babs how much love with have for his family. I know Bill didn’t get to use your kind donations, but hopefully the family will as they try and bring some normality into their lives, after this tragedy ❤️
