Great news! Ted has finally had his operation! The surgery went well and we've now entered a two+ week phase of regular bandage/dressing changes and check ups. With pain meds and lots of tlc our lovely lad is faring really well. No walks until we are given the thumbs up - and then they will be short and built up gradually. He'll have an X-ray in approx 4-6 weeks to check the bones are fusing properly. Huge thanks to everyone for your amazing generosity and thoughtfulness. It is very touching! We will keep you updated re his progress :-).

Well, we've now had it confirmed by our vet surgeon that he would like to do the op w/b 23rd July! Ted seems unfazed, we're a little apprehensive, but that's only natural. So watch this space all you amazingly generous and kind people. It does mean that Rick will be spending his birthday helping to play nurse ;-). But I am sure both boys will enjoy doing some serious bonding.

Teddy has a thing about sun loungers ... armchairs ... think he might find it a bit tricky post op with a big bandage! He has a six inch thick floor bed but is not too enamoured of it ...
