Story
I have cut off 9 inches of my hair to raise money for the Small Steps Foundation and am donating the hair to Little Princess Trust to make a cancer wig. In October 2018 I will be going on a group volunteering trip to Uganda with my school, Withington Girls’ School. As a team we are fundrasing for the Small Steps Foundation, a charity which works to destigmatise disability in Uganda. The SSF works to challenge the stigma many disabled children and their families experience in their community in order to provide a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. They work to help children with Down’s syndrome, autistic spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy and many more disabilities. They also work in conjunction with Buwenda Women in Action, a grassroots Community Based Organisation who run Glory Be Nursery; I will be visiting this nursery as part of the trip. Any donations to support this amazing charity would be very much appreciated!
