Redruth Judo Club is a local British Judo Council club based in Cornwall. We have approx 100 members from 4yrs old to adults that have the opportunity to train twice week. Unfortunately as we are based in a school our current mats are constantly being picked up and put down which has caused considerable amount of wear and tear. Our current mats are velcro together and these are now coming away and no longer keeping their original strong grip.
Redruth Judo club have a a strong competitive team of 37 members 8yrs + which takes the students around the country to compete. With currently 7 members travelling to train with Team BJC in Tamworth 7 times a year. Also Redruth has one of the youngest competitive 3rd Dan that recent became Kent International Champion, BJA national Champion as well as BJC National Champion.
Redruth Judo club is by a team of dedicated coaches and parents that give up their free time to teach these students giving them best lesson in life JUDO.
All this training takes a toll on the mats and we would also like to give the other children in the area a chance by loaning the mats for Area Events. Currently we are unable to do this as our mats do not conform for Area events.
Please Help us we only need to raise £1500 to make our target and expand out training area to 10m x 10m area.
