    Story

Ruby the Staffie is 5 years old. 4 years ago we saw her picture on a rescue page on fb, her big smile caught our attention but we knew we couldnt have a dog due to the cost of keeping one. We really wanted to help because if she didnt find a home she would have to have been put down. There where no rescue spaces.
We decided to pick her up from Lyme Regis to give her to a lady in Weymouth but that lady had a beagle and lets just say Rubys big mouth got her in trouble. We then told the rescue centre we would keep ruby until a home could be found but the inevitable happened. We fell in love. Ruby became a part of our family and we just couldnt let her go. No way was she leaving.
A couple of weeks after she came to us we noticed that she had probs with her back leg. Over the years the pains have come and gone but its now really bad. This morning she moved just wrong and looked paralyzed, it was very scary.
After a trip to the vet we were told that she has a prob with her knee joint , we have two options. One was just leave her and manage with pain relief or an operation to insert gel to her knee (costly).
We really want to get the op for ruby as we feel its the best option. Our crazy mutt has lost her bounce. Its going to cost thousands and because the condition was found before we could get insurance we cant afford that. That is why i am very uncomfortably asking for help. I cant bear to see her in so much pain and i am asking for your help to get our bouncy, smiley girl back. Initially i am asking for £150 to get the xray done and get an investigation sorted into how bad the damage is. (I think this is enough as i have a credit card with £100)

Ruby is in pain. She cant walk very well and keeps knocking into the wall after causing herself to look paralysed this morning. She has probs in her joints that need an operation and because of the timing of when we rescued her and found the prob we cant get insurance.
