Due to the pandemic our beloved, Hemel Hempstead Camelot Rugby Club - like many clubs across the country - has been hit pretty hard financially. With no match days, lunches or old boys propping up the bar, it is a real challenge to keep it aflloat to make sure there is still a rugby club for players to return to once this is all over.

By our calculations, the senior players have missed approximately 2,500 minutes of rugby since March 2020. The senior squad is teaming up to run at least 1km for every minute of rugby missed from now until the end of March. That's just one month for a bunch of lads who hate running without a rugby ball to collectively run 2,500kms*. Anyone associated with the club can get involved from the under 6s, right through to the Vets, including parents and volunteers alike. Alone we can make an impact but together as a club, we can make a real difference.

All of this will be in aid of raising much needed funds for the club to make sure that the club will still be here and in good shape for when rugby returns. We also pledge to donate 25% of the money raised will also be donated to The Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamstead.

The Hospice of St Francis does incredible work within Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding area. Their funding has been severely hit by the pandemic at a time when some people need them more than ever, so as a club we wanted to give something back to such a wonderful organisation.
