On October 29 we'll be running the half-marathon in Lucerne to raise money for the inhabitants of Puerto Rico, who are struggling to recover from the catastrophic impact of Hurricane Maria. The islanders could be without power and running water for months, and supplies of food, water and fuel are critically low. They desperately need our help.

All the funds raised will be divided between two charities; United for Puerto Rico, which provides aid to the millions of Puerto Ricans struggling to recover from the worst storm to hit the island in a century; and The Sato Project , a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs in Puerto Rico, of which there are currently over 200,000.

These issues are very dear to our hearts - Jose is a proud Puerto Rican and his family remains on the island, and we both have beautiful rescue dogs at home.
