Savannah's parents are looking at fundraising ideas to raise money for new equipment for Savannah and asked if I would like to help them. Savannah suffers from Rett syndrome meaning that she has severe physical and communication difficulties and communicates through non-verbal techniques. However, Savannah is an extremely ambitious person and achieved such outstanding progress in her PE lessons that she earned herself the award of Primary Sports Person of the Year at her school.

After speaking with Savannah's parents about the idea of fundraising, I thought it was a great idea and wanted to get involved straight away. So much so that I have signed up to complete a minimum of 3 half marathons in 2017!

I completed the Bracknell Half Marathon in May and have Maidenhead (September) and Eton Dorney (November) to come. I am also looking at running a number of 10k distances in the Autumn/Winter too!
