On the 7/8th July 2018 members of the Rural Solutions team will be taking on the 'National Three Peaks Challenge'. The challenge involves climbing the three highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland, and attempting to do so within 24 hours.

And yes we will do it in UNDER 24 HOURS!!!!!

The challenge will involve a total ascent of almost 10,000ft, a distance of approximately 27 miles worth of trekking with a total of over 1,000 miles of driving.

Our chosen charity for this event is a local cause called Wil's Wishes. The charity was set up following the passing of Wil in 2015 at the age of 24 after an 18 month battle with bowel cancer. Set up by his family in his memory, to raise awareness of the condition and to help those affected by terminal illness, the charity promotes awareness of bowel cancer to people of all ages, reminding people not to ignore symptoms and changes in their bodies. The charity also has close links with the local school, Fisher More and has provided support to children and young people in the Pendle area whose lives have also been affected by such issues. This inspiring cause is close to a number of colleagues who knew Wil and therefore, one we are keen to promote.
