In February 2019, 21 students and myself, along with four teachers will travel to Sierra Leone to give vital educational and medical supplies to our partner schools and to their students and their families. Since the Ebola outbreak in 2014 and several deadly mudslides in 2017, Sierra Leone has witnessed a large growth in poverty and I believe our school immersion will touch the lives of thousands of people who who have not had the privileges that I have had. My school has already received donations of many resources we plan to take with us, such as basic medical supplies like painkillers, plasters and bandages, and educational supplies such as chalk, pencils and other stationery. As well as offering much needed help to those who need it, I also feel this is an excellent opportunity for myself, as it will be an eye-opening experience to see how lucky I am and how much more to do in this world there is. The money I am hoping you donate will pay for flights and other travel arrangements
