My name is Samantha and I have been lucky enough to be selected to go on my School's Borneo expedition to help the local community out there. For 21 days a team of us will be out there helping on various projects on a once in a lifetime experience. I need to fundraise towards the cost though and hope that you can help me make a difference.

Having been involved in the DofE I was inspired with learning new skills and volunteering to help younger people. I currently volunteer coach at a local swimming club in Aberdeen and plan to continue to do this and use the skills I learn there with this project. I am applying to volunteer with Aberdeen city's Learn to Swim programme too.

I enjoy making art items and am going to sell it in various forms, such as cards, canvas and prints at school fayres over the year. If anyone is interested please drop me a line. I am also actively looking to gain summer work to help fund the project.

I plan to do other activities towards this fundraising, such as car boot sales and a 10 K run in the better weather. I will update this page soon.
