I feel lucky every day to have been in a western country, with two parents who love me, and access to excellent education. However, I live this life purely because I was lucky enough to be born into it. I’m no more deserving of these opportunities than anyone else, therefore I decided that it was a priority to me that I use my privilege to help others. Everyone deserves an education, a community, and somebody who supports them, but many children in Morocco are living in poverty, and their parents can barely sustain themselves their families. Education in Morocco doesn’t start until the age of 7, which means working parents struggle to provide their children with the support they need. The project I will be taking part in aims to ease this strain by providing essential childcare support those most in need.
