Who are the LRTT?

The LRTT is a charity that was founded by 5 teachers who believed that every child deserves a great education. Since 2012, LRTT fellows have trained more than 3,750 teachers in 10 countries around the world. Today, fellows from around the world join their team and become educational mentors to teachers in limited resource contexts.

Why should you care?

Education can change a life, a community and, eventually, let's face it, it will change the world. The LRTT work relentlessly to ensure that children, on a global scale, are given access to better educational opportunities. They work in classrooms, in teaching training colleges, and in communities supporting local students and professionals. This work is transformative for all those involved.

What I need your help with?

This summer, I am hoping to be one of those LRTT fellows.

I am hoping to fundraise enough money to pay for my fellowship and the costs that come along with it. The fellowship will take place in August 2018, over a three week block. In this time, I will have the opportunity to work with two seperate teams of teachers in Laos, looking at curriculum planning and upskilling these professionals so that they can improve the provision in their own schools. June 24th - 40k Bike Ride as part of Birmingham Triathlon.

On a hot summer's day (hopefully) in June, myself and two of my wonderful teacher friends will be taking part in an olympic length relay triathlon. This will involve a 1500m open water swim courtesy of Charlotte Langdon, and a 10k run to be smashed by Louise Wright. I will be pretending I am a pro-cyclist and attempting to complete a 40k bike ride.
