Story
A local elderly lady has been a victim of a robbery on her own doorstep in broad daylight. A thoughtful community member suggested we raise some money to replace the stolen cash and other personal items that were in her handbag.
Let's show our support and let her know the local community is behind her.

5 years agoI dropped a cheque for £250 to the lady at the weekend. The fees were covered by a friend of mine, so we were able to give her the full amount raised. She was very grateful and quite overwhelmed 😊 Thank you again for showing your support. Sally x

5 years agoThe page has now closed and a fantastic £250 was raised in total 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I am now just waiting for Just Giving fees to be deducted and be told the final amount. As soon as this is done, I will be giving a cheque to the lady. Thank you so so much again for your generosity and support and special thanks to Sue Petty for the suggestion in the first place 😊 It feels good to be a part of a community that cares. Thank you!
