A special night for the residents of the Salvation Army shelter in Grimsby, this will be a glorious cultural experience for people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to have a posh night in quite like it!

Last Christmas, we took the children to the Salvation Army shelter on the corner of Eleanor Street, also taking with us some mince pies for their residents. It's important to us, as a family, to be aware of the privileges we take for granted. This was a small way of showing the children that it is possible to help someone by doing something as simple as taking them some food.

Having spoken to Shaun Stainton, the service manager, it transpired that although taking food in is really beneficial, creating an evening that they can enjoy along with the food would be truly special, and something they wouldn't get the opportunity to experience otherwise.

To that end, the "Indian Posh Night in at the Sally Army" is set to take place on October 28, 2017, from 7pm onwards. A great group of friends/miracles has already started to come together to make this evening a success. If you'd like to volunteer, please do get in touch.

All donations will go towards creating a fantastic evening for people who are on the pathway towards a better life. We're just hoping to give them a reason to smile.
