    Story

The dust will be blown off the Telford football team’s boots in a battle to raise money for two causes which are close to the hearts of many Telford employees.

On 8th November, Telford Homes will be facing R B Emerson in an 11-a-side charity football match. The match will take place @ 7:45pm at the Cricklefield Stadium, Ilford.

We will be raising money for two charities:

Florie’s Fund (Adam De’Ath’s daughter) - Florie's Fund is an account that was set up for Florie to enable her to get additional support and equipment that is unavailable through normal channels to support her with her battle with Rett Syndrome. You can follow Florie’s Fund on Facebook to gain a greater insight on where the money from fundraising will be distributed: https://www.facebook.com/florierettsyndrome/

Rett syndrome is a rare neurological disorder affecting mainly females. It is present from conception and usually remains undetected until major regression occurs at around one year of age, when children may lose acquired skills and become withdrawn. Genetic but largely inherited Rett syndrome is usually caused by a fault on a gene called MECP2 which is found on the X chromosome. People with Rett syndrome have profound and multiple physical and communication disabilities and are totally reliant on others for support throughout their lives.

Ravensbourne school which helps Chloe (Darren Stump’s daughter). The school supports children and young people with special physical and educational needs. Ravensbourne school is an all age special part of Hornbeam Academy Trust and based in Havering. They strive to support their pupils to ensure that all needs are met and that everyone is learning :

Please take a look at some of the great work Ravensbourne are doing - http://www.ravensbourne-special-needs.org.uk/

Both causes that we will be fundraising for directly affect families in Telford Homes, and are obviously close to our hearts.

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
