Domestic cases now account for 14.1% of all court prosecutions

SODA WAS CREATED BECAUSE:
In 2009 I set up an online support group to help reduce isolation and raise awareness of domestic abuse. This group is still active today with over 900 members worldwide. I am a survivor of domestic abuse and in April 2006 I left my abusive relationship after my ex partner hit me whilst I was holding our 10 month old daughter. As a victim I felt there was not enough aftercare and support and as a survivor I wanted to support others and make a different within my community.
SODA IS VERY MUCH ABOUT:
Focusing on the future of the survivor. Not only educating and raising awareness of what coercive control and domestic abuse is but it’s a specialist service providing ongoing and instant support for any man, woman and child who has or who is experiencing domestic abuse.
SODA IS HELPING PEOPLE AT THE MOMENT BY:
We offer support 24/7, 365 days a year at the times when we are needed. SODA offers online support, providing workshops and running self care groups. We also run domestic abuse workshops for agencies across the Black Country not only to raise awareness but to make connections so we can work together for the survivors in our community.
YOUR MONEY WILL HELP SODA:
Fund our ongoing aftercare groups across the Black Country by paying for venues and refreshments
Fund our workshops and awareness presentations by allowing us to purchase a printer to print our work
Fund our advertising by buying a sponsored Facebook page to raise our profile

This is an amazing cause, as a survivor of domestic abuse I know only too well how hard it is to start again from scratch, especially when you also have kids
