Myself and Nic are running the Manchester full Marathon on April 2nd 2017, giving ourselves just 12 weeks to train for the biggest run we have ever done. We are running for Sue Jones ( Nic's mum) who has Lung Cancer Stage 4, to raise funds to help her get treatment to enable her to stay with her family longer. Sue had a part of her right lung removed and 4 Months Double Chemo but after 18 months it's back in both lungs and all they will offer Sue is the same Chemo she had last time which obviously didn't work. Sue has done some research, and there are incredible breakthroughs being made in the field of immunotherapy and integrative medicine, which are seeing previously 'incurable' cancers going into complete remission. The downside is that these cutting edge treatments aren't yet available on the NHS outside of clinical trials. Sues husband, Children and Grandchildren mean the absolute world to her and this treatment is the only true hope of giving her some extra time to be with them.
