Mia came out of intensive care & back onto the ward on the 28th July. She has been doing amazing, she has needed no platelets or blood transfusions & no oxygen at all for over a week. She is learning to stand & walk again with physio and slowly getting strength back in her legs. Mia started chemo again yesterday (7th August). Mia is doing amazing and enjoying her new room in the new building, especially looking out her big window Keep it up Mia, your doing fantastic !

Mia has been out of bed having cuddles. Her platelets are at over 160 and her white cells are also not too bad. There may be a breakthrough. There is a treatment for leukaemia which they have tested on some of Mia,s blood. It seems to be attacking the cancer cells! If this works it will be a major breakthrough for the hospital. Watch this space!

update part 2 The Oncologist has been down as Mia is due to start chemo again tomorrow. They will run tests to see if they want to delay chemo & continue with the ACG for a little longer. The oncologist seemed happy with Mia's numbers from obs & also looked at her blood gas results & she has said all this looks positive 👍

We are grandparents of 6 beautiful children and another on the way. They are our world and this week that world came tumbling down as we found out that 5 year old Mia has cancer. We wanted to do something to ease the pressure for Corryn and Cory Mia’s Mom and Dad. Xxxxx
