SANTA DASH FOR THE HOMELESS

This year myself and family (including the three year old and dog)! Will be taking part in the 5k Santa Dash across Glasgow. In past years my hubby has done it with the dog 'just for fun'. Now that we have a three year old daughter our goal is to teach her to give and not just expect! We plan to go out into Glasgow City Centre on Christmas Eve to give soup and turkey sarnies to the homeless. When we booked the Santa Dash again this year we really wanted it to have a purpose; therefore anything we may now raise will be a bonus and will be put to good use in buying comfies such as socks, gloves, hats, blankets and pillows for them also. One less takeaway, glass of wine, pint or small luxury for us and donated to them could bring a huge bit of warmth and festivity to a homeless person this Xmas. Even just knowing someone actually cares brings a bit of joy to them - I see that all the time!
