A cat rescue charity, based in Waltham Abbey, Essex, but covering a much wider area relying solely on charitable donations, fundraising and volunteers.

They ensure that no cat is ever kept in unsuitable accommodation while it is waiting for a home. Every cat's individual needs are catered for and the best expert help is provided. Every cat in its own right is important and deserves the chance of a loving home and a happy life.

They also have a feral cat programme that deals with trapping and neutering feral cats that are then found suitable places where they can live wild and still be cared for and fed in a safe environment.

In April 2011 they opened our purpose built rescue cattery, based in Waltham Abbey, with cat friendly accommodation, including 18 large pens, a communal facility, with a small courtyard for the cats to have some air, a Mum and kitten unit, a feral section, and an Isolation unit. With home fosterers for pregnant mums & kittens and for 'taming/socialisation' of feral kittens, to help them get used to a home environment, and have lots of handling and attention. They strive to ensure that the cats in our care are happy, healthy and contented.

There is an endless stream of cats passing through the Scratching Post. With ever escalating veterinary bills to pay, they can only continue with your help. Their work is amazing my latest family member is a beautiful Scratching Post cat - Prudence.
