Broomhill Community Library is our local library, and since September 2014 it has been staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers. Since moving to the area the library has been such a valuable asset for us, with a fantastic children's area giving us access to hundreds of free books for our son Bobby and a lovely environment to spend time in. They run a regularly baby group which provides valuable support and companionship to new parents, and is lots of fun for the little ones too!

This is just my personal experience, aside from children and parents the library provides support, education, access to equipment and companionship to people of all ages and abilities living in the area. Fundraising is vital to keep the library going and precent future closure, my own childhood library has sadly now closed and I don't ever want to see the same happen here. Thats why I'm running the upcoming Sheffield Half Marathon in their name On April 14th 2019.

This will be my first run in 5 years, and I’m pretty daunted by those Sheffield hills but i’ll give it a damn good go! So dig deep people and show your support, knowing I'm raising some money for a good local cause will certainly keep me going!
