Weʼve raised £20 to Raise money for Mary to support poor communities in Peru in 2018

Funded on Thursday, 19th January 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Why go to Peru?
54% of rural communities live below the poverty line.
33% of under 15's are employed rather than in school
18% are malnourished and lacking fresh fruit and vegetables.
The projects I will take part in will include:
Education: Helping generations of children by building new classrooms.
Housing: constructing vitally needed community housing from local materials.
Healthcare & sanitation: help develop local amenities
Food and water security: creating a communal greenhouse to provide vegetables all year round
Environmental protection: replanting indigenous plants to offset environmental damage and deforestation
Sustainable livelihood: Digging irrigation channels to bring water from the mountains to nearby farms and houses.
