Education is one of the things we may often take for granted, as it's such a basic thing to us in our western lives, however the reality is, many people in the world do not have access to education like we do.

In July I am travelling to Fiji to help give disadvantaged children an opportunity to learn. The project involves teaching children various skills, helping with construction, renovation and community support.

Children will learn numeracy , computer and English skills and have the opportunity to practise with native speakers. There simply aren't the funds to build or renovate school classrooms, so this is one thing the volunteer programme helps with, as well as building other beneficial places like libraries and community centres.

As the programme is run by volunteers, each individual is required to fund raise before starting their hands on work with the communities. I will be organising some fundraising events, however I thought starting this page would be a good way of reaching out to a wider audience who may also want to help.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated by the children in Fiji, as well as their families and communities, it will also make me happy to know that there are others who care about the less fortunate and want to help!
