Story
Welcome to the Narrowboat with an emergency situation that is its hull !!
As you may have seen, my Narrowboat has a hole in the hull....in fact its a few scratches away from having many holes in the hull. At the moment, NB Sloe Patrol is on a trolley out of the water to save her from sinking.....but time is not on out side.
The boat needs lots of steel, a steel fabricator and a very skilled welder and lots of time on our backs to keep this project and my home going.
We are still having experts giving advice and guidance about the best way forwards in terms of overplating but one thing is clear, its a big job which needs urgent attention hence this emergency appeal.
At the moment the costs are unknown but its likely to be between £5k and £8k to give this boat another 50 years of service and life on the canals and these days, YouTube too.
