Weʼve raised £60 to help fund legal fees in our fight to protect what little bit of beautiful, unspoilt countryside we have left in Dewsbury.

    Story

Since 2012, the Chidswell Action Group have been fighting to protect beautiful, unspoilt countryside at Chidswell and Shaw Cross, in opposition to Kirklees Council’s Local Plan which allocates 1,500 homes and 35 hectares of employment land for development on Green Belt and farmland.

To help win our fight we have hired a specialist planning lawyer to present our case to the planning inspector at crucial hearings to be held over the next few weeks and we need urgent help to raise funds to cover legal fees.

Any help you can give could give could make the difference between winning and losing our fight to protect what little bit of countryside we have left in the area.

Remember, once it’s gone, it’s gone forever!
