I am campaigning within my local community to inform on the plight of hedgehogs and promote direction action to help them today – tomorrow may be too late!

Our native hedgehogs need lots and lots of space to roam, eat, rest and find a mate yet due to fragmentation of land and pesticides they are now in serious decline. We can help by linking gardens and green spaces using (13cm by 13cm) access points in fences, gates or under walls.

To help hedgehogs I am using social media, leafleting and giving school/community talks however uptake in creating access to gardens has been very slow. I therefore wish to hold a 'Save our Hedgehog’ event to educate local people to act now before it is too late. Unfortunately, my borough council are to charge me £100 administration fee to hold my event and I am currently unable to pay this. I hope that I may be given help please towards the administration cost alongside additional funds for educational products/printing leaflets.

I would be extremely grateful for any help please, I so want to help our beloved spiky friends and help to bring a community together in appreciation and protection of local wildlife.
