My cousin has recently suffered kidney failure and is having to have dialysis three times a week. This is a life changing illness that has caused many changes in his life, where he is unable to work, or provide for his family. He is very unfortunate to live in Pakistan where the cost of all treatment is extremely high at the point of use and where they have no social security to support his family financially. One of his kidneys has failed and the other is infected with kidney stones. Highly trained Doctors in Islamabad are not even willing to do a transplant or operate on my cousin as they believe his body is too weak to cope with the pain of an operation. The illness, if untreated, will cause a slow and very painful death as his body slowly poisons itself with the byproducts of life processes which should normally be removed from them by his kidneys. The requirement for dialysis for half a day three or four times a week to keep him alive and relatively well renders it almost impossible to work and earn a living which means that he cannot afford to pay for the treatment on a sustained and long term basis. The result of this is that hitherto independent people like my cousins family will have to resort to begging on the street simply to access the life saving regular treatment that he needs.

I know how fortunate I am to be living in the UK with access to everything that my family and I need at this difficult time in our lives therefore request you all to give as little or as much as you can to please help my cousin to live. I thank you in advance.
