Weʼve raised £2,550 to Help me get my life back

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

I am a 52 year-old disabled woman who is also a cancer survivor. I have never asked for help before, usually I am the one trying to help others through fund raising, donating etc. But now I desperately need help, I have osteoarthritis in almost all of my joints as well as degenerative disk disease.
I can't walk and using a normal wheelchair is almost impossible because of problems in my shoulders.

I need a wheelchair that will allow me my independence back, one which will allow me to take part in life instead of being trapped on the sidelines.
I need a wheelchair which allows me to take my dogs for walks in the woods or on a beach.

I desperately need something to give me my independence back and allow me to take part in life, to do the things I did before I became disabled.

The type of wheelchair I need is a lever operated manual wheelchair, a Mountain Trike. The one most suited to my medical needs is £4950.
My current wheelchair is breaking down and no longer fit for purpose, especially given how bad our pavements are where I live, (my wheelchair has almost tipped me into the road because of uneven surfaces, not to mention the lack of drop curbs or even drop curbs which aren't low enough to negotiate without help).

I need a Mountain Trike so I can stop being a shut-in and start living my life again so please, please help me.

Thank you so very much to everyone who donated and shared the link. You have all contributed to me getting my life back. I reduced the original total because I discovered the NuDrive Air geared lever system that connects to the wheels and I found the Excel All Terrain wheelchair which basically has 22" mountain bike wheels with wide nobbly treads and the front casters are set back a little so hopefully will be able to tackle those bridle ways etc with my dogs and my carer. I will post a video of me using the wheelchair etc. Thanks so much!

A huge thank you to everyone, I reached my new target figure.I reduced the total because I discovered the NuDrive Air system and found a cheaper wheelchair which has wider tires with a nobbly tread. So hopefully with the two combined I can go on woodland walks with my dogs and maybe even a beach. I cannot thank everyone enough, your donations have given me my life back,I thank you all so much. When I get the new wheelchair etc I will post a video on Twitter & Facebook.

First of all a huge thank you to everyone who has donated it really means the world to me, thank you also to everyone who has shared the link that means a lot too because without you sharing the link I wouldn't have as many donations. I have just over 10 days left now to raise 70% of what I need, it doesn't look like I will make it so have been trying to find cheaper options. I have managed to get it down to £3181.80 that's for a new wheelchair, plus an attachment to make it more suited to off-road & a lever operating system.

First of all a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated and everyone who has shared this page, it means so much to me. My carer took myself and my dogs out a few weeks back,to Greenham common, As always my wheelchair struggled with the paths and I couldn't go on the grass at all which left me stranded away from the action way out on the sidelines over a football pitch length away from everyone. It was nice to get out but so upsetting & frustrating to be stuck on the sidelines unable to join in! For some reason this ste zoom pics.

I'm a cancer survivor with degenerative disk disease & osteoarthritis in my spine, hips, knees & feet. I'm so isolated because of being wheelchair bound & my current wheelchair can't cope with local roads, pathways etc let alone grass (so no way I can go for a walk with my dogs).
