Story
Who are we?
Signed Songs R Us are a Deaf/Hard Of Hearing/Hearing Sign Language Choir which translates songs and performs in British Sign Language. Established in 2013 when a group of Deaf people collaborated with local BSL interpreter Jennifer Ramsay for a celebration day held at Tayside Deaf Hub. Since then we have performed at various places all over Scotland including The Big Big Sing as part of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow & Westfest in Dundee.
Our Aims:
*Raise awareness of Deafness
*Promote British Sign Language
*Encourage team work & confidence building
*Encourage equal opportunities for people with disabilities
What are we fundraising for?
We are raising money in order to attend the National Sign Language Competition which is being held in Kent this year. This is an excellent opportunity for our Deaf & hard of hearing members to be involved in an inclusive event where their 1st language is being used & achieving our aims.
All donations will be used for:
*Uniforms
* Hotel costs
*Train Costs
