I am Serisa Barker, i'm a 33 year old female who suffers with cerebral palsy, I live in a care facility and have recently joined Wheel Chair Wasps which is a football team using high end wheel chairs. Due to my disability I already have a wheel chair which is used for everyday living however this is not suitable or properly adapted for me to continue playing the sport. My coach has suggested that I invest in a Invacare Storm 3 wheel chair, which is more suited and adapted to continue competing in this sport.
I really enjoy the sport, but feel I cannot play to my full potential due to the chair I am currently using, not only do I play wheel chair football, but I see this as a socialising aspect of my life, I have made some good friends within the team, and want to continue my participation.
The money raised will contribute to me being able to purchase the Invacare Storm 3 wheel chair.
