    Story

For the first time ever I have decided to fast for Lent (yes, 40 days) to help raise money for the repair of our church organ at St John the Evangelist.

I have MS and need to eat with my Disease Modifying Drugs so I will be consuming, a paltry, 600 calories a day Max.

The church organ is a beautiful 1904 three manual Abbott & Smith. She is need of a little love and attention to bring her to peak performance. Please Donate.

Weekly progress updates will be posted on this page.

      Update from the Page owner

The page has now closed and though I am eating again. YAY!! I have put on some weight but have built a healthy eating plan with the hope of not not negating the positive effects of my extended (40 day) fast. With the £1430 (less Just givings cut) the plan is to perform short term essential maintenance to the church organ. Thanks for your support on this journey.. Its been EPIC!

      Update from the Page owner

Lent is over and I am eating again YAY. I’ve gained around 3 kg. It’s been a real honour, a privilege and a fantastic journey. Controlled extended (5 not 40 day) fasts will become a regular part of my eating plan. Thank you.
