I'm running the Paris marathon in April in order to raise money for my niece, Alienor, and children like her who suffer from Smith Magenis Syndrome.

Smith-Magenis syndrome is a rare genetic disability that is estimated to affect 1 in 25,000 births. Features of the syndrome include intellectual disability, delayed speech and language skills, distinctive facial features, sleep disturbances, and behavioural problems.

The money raised will go to charities in the UK and France (where Alienor lives), which help fund research and provide support to families. More information about the charities can be found here:
