my daughter Nicole Lafferty was terminally ill with Cystic Fibrosis and attended the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow before she sadly passed away on the 1st of Feb 2018. It is a very expensive time for patients when they are admitted for iv treatment for at least 2wks at a time. cystic fibrosis sufferers need a high calorie/fat diet as they burn 3 times as many calories as a healthy person just breathing! Alot of CF patients become very malnourished and this happened to my daughter(aged 22yrs) who was just 4stone in weight. When the weight decreases the progression of the disease speads up. My aim is to help CF patients in Ward 7 by giving them FREE calorific snacks.
