Asalaamualykum,

We are embarking on a fundraising to support families, whom I have personally been in contact with and has affected me deeply. This summer I jetted off to Kashmir Poonch distric to visit family. I came across two families. I am urging all of you to help support me to raise funds, so they too can enjoy life without the hardship of daily survival. The brief description into their lives does not give justice to what I witnessed emotionally.

The first family are extremely poor; their living conditions are being in a single room with seven members of the family. Father only manages to secure three days of work due to lack of occupation in his neighbourhood, bringing a total income of 300 rupees to support the entire family. The mother currently expecting along with their five children are forced to survive with the bare minimum. The mother is also forced to care for her 10 years old son who is bed-ridden, there is treatment available for their son, the lack of finance has forced the family to leave their son in his condition.

The second family, the Father (sole provider for the family) was forced to stop working due to ill health, as a result his medication halted, as there was no more finance coming in. The Father sadly passed away whilst I was there in Kashmir. He has left seven children and his wife behind. Their house has no windows, doors and consists of a damaged roof and during the rainy seasons, water seeps into their home.

Please we are asking you all, to help these families even if you can dig deep into your pockets and donate as much or as little as you can to help them live a life without poverty.

The money donated will go towards their food expenses, health and improving their living conditions.

So please help us to help them.
