The staff at Bromyard Hospital were absolutely exceptional in caring for my Grandad earlier this year.

He was sent there from Hereford after a fall, and as he became more poorly, every single individual at Bromyard did everything they could to help him and make his final days as comfortable and pleasant as they possibly could.

They offered support to us as a family, and went above and beyond the call of duty.

I am running the Edinburgh Half Marathon on the 24th September in his memory, to raise money for Bromyard Hospital League of Friends.

They provide extra comforts for patients, or extra equipment which enables more treatments to be taken there, so patients don't have to travel.

I'm not in great shape - and there's (what I've called) a 'bus of shame' which collects anyone who takes too long - so I promise I'll run my little socks off to try and avoid that one!
