We don't really want to go into too much details. But a family we know are really struggling to cover basic costs for rent and food. They have contacted relevent places for help eg (housing and council tax support) but been told there's nothing they can do other then wait...that was a month ago. Since then they have phoned and said they have had no phone calls or emails to prove that they have really low income.
Where asking for £500 to help them towards rent that's a total of £475 along with a little support for food and other essentials.
