Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page. I am raising money to support UTSAAH initiative, to support and sustain grass-root approach based social initiatives in the Indian Himalayas. My target is to raise £200.

In India, along the mighty Himalayas there are communities who do not have the means to access good Education. Lack of government support in these remote communities coupled with severe climatic conditions has significantly affected the local communities residing there.

Fortunately, there are some inspiring social entrepreneurs and community leaders who are working diligently to address this gap created by the local government through grass-roots approach based social initiatives and promote the local Himalayan communities.

UTSAAH initiative (Uniting to Sustain and Assist Himalayan communities) through their work in the UK wants to raise awareness about such social initiatives spanning Education, healthcare and livelihoods in the Himalayas and assist them through fund-raising and building links with aspiring volunteers.

At the beginning of 2017, I set myself a personal challenge to raise funds for social initiatives through athletic fund-raisers, and I am running my first charity run of 10K in the foothills of the Cheviots in Northumberland. I have set myself a realistic target to complete my run under an hour and I am training hard on a regular basis to achieve my target.

Your donation can help sustain and grow a number of social initiatives in Education, healthcare and livelihood support in the Himalayas. For example: £200 would help a child’s holistic education and development for an entire year.
