I'm from Loch Lomond, I hear the sirens and helicopter out over Loch Lomond in the summer, my heart sinks and I feel sick to the stomach at the thought of someone's child or family member in the Loch.
The Loch is so dangerous, you can be the best swimmer about, but one wrong movement and the Loch can take hold of you!
The people in search and rescue do an amazing job!! We do need something closer to home, something that can instantly be there, that could save someone struggling. Our search boat is based in Luss, thats 9 miles away from Balloch! Surely as a community we could get something closer!!
These guys are volunteers and work on donations! So please if you can give a little, it will go a long way!!!
