Story
2 weeks ago on October 27th 2016 the Liebow family's normal life was torn apart after their 7 year old son Dexter was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.
Within 24 hours their life had changed from work, school runs, toddler groups, shopping and mundane chores to hospital visits, paying for parking, juggling childcare for their other 2 children, taking it in turns to stay overnight with Dexter and eating from the hospital shop.
As Lucy and Andy's friends and family, we have tried to make things as easy as possible, trying to organise as much as we can with day to day decisions so they can concentrate their time on Dexter so he can concentrate on getting better.
We have set this page up to fundraise on Lucy and Andy's behalf.
Initially they were reluctant to accept any financial help but have come to realise that even the smallest donation will ease the strain on them and give them the opportunity to give Dexter anything he needs to help with his ongoing treatment and aid his recovery.
It will also be able to help provide things for Dexters siblings Matt and Toby and ease the turmoil and changes they have been and will be forced to endure whilst Dexter is ill.
They are also adament that they want to give back and see this as an opportunity to do this so have pledged that a percentage of the raised monies will be divided and donated to cancer charities on their behalf such as CLIC, Macmillan and The Family Fund who all rely on charitable donations to be able to help families having to deal with someone with cancer.

8 years agoAnother week done, another round of chemo completed by Dex. He is taking his hair loss in his stride like the superhero he is and managing to keep a smile on his face and put one on others that see his bravery. Another week on and we've smashed another target, over £2000 raised now to help Dex, his family, and donate money to childhood charities including neuroblastoma uk which does vital research into finding treatment and a cure for this aggressive cancer. Please keep sharing this page because it is working, More awareness, more donations.
