At our school we feel it is vital for our children to spend as much time outdoors as possible however our main school playground is very exposed and desperately needs high quality, permanent weather protection, especially shading from the hot sun.

We have tried many options of cheaper shading (you may have noticed that we have purchased two new sails for this term) but, as the number of pupils grow, we will need a much larger sheltered area which can be used for shading and also for outdoor dining.

The best solution is a permanent structure attached to the outside wall of the main hall, which is all weather proof but very expensive. The anticipated cost of this structure is £7,000 and, while the PTA can contribute £2,000 towards it, we need your help to raise the balance £5,000.
