In July this year I will be returning to Ghana for the 3rd time, to volunteer in the schools and Orphanages.
For my 21st birthday last year, instead of presents I asked family and friends if the would donate to my 'Ghana fund' I was lucky enough to receive money which has paid for my flights. I now need to pay for my accommodation, at a cost of £600 however, half of this amount will go directly in to the charity Ghana Volunteer Project / Rising Stars of Africa.
In addition to this money I would like to be able to contribute to a current project which is being developed and needs funding, a new accommodation block for children in the football academy.

Previously I have really valued my time in Ghana and love working with the children. It was fabulous to see how the children had grown and progressed between my previous two visits so I am extremely excited to see the difference in them this summer.

I am very lucky to have seen first hand what amazing work that the Rising Stars of Africa and the Ghana volunteer project does to provide opportunities for under privileged children and young people. They create opportunities through sport, primarily football where they have their own academy, but also many others such as tennis, swimming, basketball, hockey and rugby. Their volunteer programs also include education alongside the sport whilst also working in the local schools and orphanages.

This truly is a fantastic charity which is close to my heart and id greatly appreciate any donations to help me reach my target of £750.
